The Chassagne-Montrachet Philippe Colin 2010 is a Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune, characterised by its notable minerality and balanced acidity. This wine displays a range of flavours including lemon, apple and pear, alongside traces of toasted nuts and a slight creaminess. Philippe Colin, a third-generation winemaker, launched his own domaine in 2004 after inheriting significant vineyard holdings from his family`s estate, Michel Colin-Deléger, including important Premier Cru sites.

Vinous
(the only 2010 that was bottled before the 2011 harvest; the rest were bottled between January and March of this year): Bright lemon-yellow. Lemon, peach, pear and wet stone on the nose, plus a hint of toast. Offers impressive tension and penetration for village wine, with sweet white peach and lemon peel fruit flavors building nicely on the vibrant finish. Quite rich but youthfully imploded: I'd give this at least two or three years in the cellar.
