Domaine du Duc de Magenta Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle 2022 is a full-bodied Premier Cru white Burgundy from the monopole vineyard of Clos de la Chapelle in the Chassagne-Montrachet commune of the Côte de Beaune. Louis Jadot is one of the most consistent growers and négociants in Burgundy, offering a vast portfolio of wines – from easy-drinking, accessible Bourgogne to complex, age-worthy Grand Cru expressions. The company is today run by Pierre-Henri Gagey, assisted by head winemaker Frédéric Barnier. The wines under the ‘Duc de Magenta’ label indicate those owned by the namesake family, but farming of the vineyards and vinification is carried out by Louis Jadot under a long-term contract. Clos de la Chapelle is a 2-hectare monopole in Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Morgeot and produces wines that are typically full-bodied, with a rich texture, vibrant acidity and distinctive minerality.

Top Flight Biodynamic Burgundy

Located between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune in Prémeaux, Domaine de la Vougeraie was founded by Jean-Claude Boisset in 1999. The name was inspired by domaine’s significant vineyard holdings in the village of Vougeot, which is also Boisset’s home.

One of Burgundy’s leading domaines, Vougeraie owns about 40ha of vineyard in more than 30 different appellations of Burgundy, including the Grands Crus of Clos Vougeot, Musigny, Bonnes-Mares, Charmes Chambertin, Mazoyères, Corton Clos du Roi and Corton Charlemagne. The domaine vineyards have been managed biodynamically since 2001. The highest possible production values and strictest levels of quality control, including a state-of-the-art sorting table, are maintained for the domaine’s entire range of wines. The domaine’s general manager, Sylvie Poillot, has managed the winemaking team since Pierre Vincent departed for Domaine Leflaive.
