The Chassagne-Montrachet Les Ruchottes Ramonet 2017 is a highly regarded 1er Cru white Burgundy characterised by its concentration, minerality and ageing potential. It offers a complex aromatic profile of ripe citrus, white peach and a distinct flinty or saline character, with underlying notes of toasted nuts and butter from its subtle oak ageing. On the palate, it is full-bodied and textural, yet vibrant with a precise acidity that provides tension and length. Domaine Ramonet cultivates a 0.70-hectare parcel within the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Ruchottes vineyard. This vineyard is located immediately above the Grand Cru Bâtard-Montrachet and is characterised by its very stony, shallow soils over a limestone bedrock, which contributes significantly to the wine`s pronounced minerality and powerful structure.
93 Robert Parker
Aromas of yellow apple, green pear, Meyer lemon, toasted nuts and honeycomb introduce the 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Ruchottes, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and textural wine that`s rich and fleshy, with succulent acids but without the tension of this year`s Caillerets. - William Kelley
