Domaine Ramonet is unquestionably one of the finest producers in the Côte de Beaune and, under the watchful eye of Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet, has had a remarkable run of form over recent vintages. From Bourgogne up to Grand Cru the quality of wine produced is equalled by few others.
The name ‘Caillerets’ comes from the French ‘Cailloux’ which translates as ‘pebbles’. The stony nature of this Premier Cru vineyard often translates into a wine of typically rich and vibrant fruit but racy acidity and pronounced mineral notes. Well-stored bottles will still be drinking well today.

Vinous
Bright, fresh, complex nose combines lime oil, mint, honey and smoky, nutty oak. Honeyed and superripe on the palate, yet tightly wrapped today due to firm acidity. A concentrated, rather muscular wine with plenty of flesh-in need of at least four or five years of bottle aging.Stephen Tanzer1st September 1998
