Eben Sadie Treinspoor 2013 is a single-vineyard red wine made from Tinta Barocca grapes in the Swartland. Part of Eben Sadie`s Old Vines Series, the wine is produced from vines established in 1974. This wine showcases a deep, vibrant purple hue. The nose reveals layers of raspberry, redcurrant and dried rose petals, accompanied by subtle hints of quince, creating an intricate aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine exhibits well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity, contributing to its structure. The finish is defined by a characteristic minerality, offering a sturdier presence than initially expected.

Vinous
Subtle aromas of honey, herbs, smoke and flowers. Juicy and firm in the mouth, with good texture and fresher fruit than Niellon's village Chassagne. Riper and more convincing on the finish than the villages.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2000
