Domaine Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet Boudriotte 2002 is a 1er Cru white Burgundy from one of the most renowned Chardonnay domaines in the Côte de Beaune. The Chardonnays of Domaine Ramonet are true benchmarks of Burgundy terroir. Fermentations are carried out without much settling of the solids, while new oak is kept to a minimum. The resulting wines are pure, dense and complex, unveiling themselves slowly. Founded in the 1920s by Pierre Ramonet, the domaine is now managed by third-generation proprietors Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet. The 2002 Burgundy vintage yielded Chardonnays with an excellent balance of richness and acidity, and notable ageability. "This is quite like the Morgeot in its power, concentration and muscle but there is better detail and certainly better finishing precision plus more elegance as well." Burghound, 2004

Captivating nose combines lemon, lime, flowers, herbs, honey, gunflint and white truffle. Round, sweet and satisfying, with lovely purity of flavor and perfectly integrated acidity. This has very good volume and length. One could enjoy this now or lay it down for five years.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2004
