Domaine Bachelet-Monnot Chassagne-Montrachet 2022 is a full-bodied Burgundy white wine from the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. Based in Dezize-lès-Maranges, Domaine Bachelet-Monnot is relatively new wine producer, set up by Marc and Alexandre Bachelet in 2005. The two brothers are descended from a long-line of local winemakers and together they cultivate a mix of family-owned and leased vineyards. The domaine is going from strength to strength, producing wines that showcase purity of fruit and the terroir signature of their vineyards. Expect pure, textured Chardonnay fruit with gentle spice and a savoury complexity.

The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Village has a delightful bouquet. chai tea mixed with citrus fruit, elegant in style with the 25% new oak deftly integrated. The palate is well-balanced with lemon rind and orange zest on the entry and fine weight. It’s very harmonious with a nuanced, spicy finish. Totally delicious and nudging Premier Cru in quality. - Neil Martin
