The 2013 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru was harvested on 4 October. It has a very attractive nose of blackberry and raspberry fruit, a little confit-like, crushed stone and a touch of Japanese green tea. The palate is fine-boned. Blackberry intermixes with light star anis notes. This has impressive focus and comes across as vigorous with its sprightly black pepper-tinged finish. Very fine. Neal Martin1st October 2023
