The foundations of Maison Louis Jadot date back to 1859 when Louis Henry Denis Jadot set up as a merchant. Today, Jadot is one of the most consistent growers and négociants in Burgundy, with a vast portfolio of wines – from easy-drinking, accessible Bourgogne to complex, age-worthy Grand Crus. This cuvée comes from Les Feusselottes, a Premier Cru situated just beneath the village of Chambolle, where the soil is made up of chalk and clay with lots of hard stones. The wine is beautifully evolved, offering notes of strawberries, black fruits, a soft texture and wonderful minerality.

Spicy raspberry aroma. Nicely concentrated red berry and licorice flavor supported by bright acidity. Finishes with suave tannins and lovely, lingering fruit.Stephen Tanzer1st March 1998

The very essence of Burgundy

Louis Jadot was established in Beaune by Louis Henry Denis in 1859. Over the last 165 years the company maintained exceptional quality of its wines through the steady acquisition of the best vineyards in Burgundy and now produce wines from over 150 appellations.

Jadot owns almost 125ha of vineyards in the Côte d’Or and more than 298 vineyard parcels sites including 14 Grand Cru and 74 Premier Cru. Within the last decade Domaine Louis Jadot vineyards around Beaune have been managed following organic principles and are in the process of organic certification for the 2024 vintage.

From vineyard to bottle, sustainability is a core part of their approach. Since 2019, all Domaine Louis Jadot vineyards have the High Environmental Value level 3 certification. This is a voluntary approach which aims to identify and promote particularly environmentally-friendly practices applied by farmers. It covers biodiversity conservation, plant protection strategy, management of fertiliser use and management of water.
