Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes Cécile Tremblay 2014 is a Premier Cru Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. The historic Les Feusselottes vineyard, characterised by its rocky, well-drained soils, yields fruit that reflects its terroir. Cécile Tremblay utilised whole-cluster fermentation in its red wines, enhancing the wine`s structure and complexity. The 2014 vintage showcases a blend of tart cherry and earthy notes, with subtle hints of spice. This wine exemplifies Tremblay`s focus on low extraction to maintain varietal integrity.

The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru les Feusselottes has a very engaging, vivacious bouquet with cold stone/flint scents permeating the red and black fruit - red plum and wild strawberry, later just a hint of violet petals. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannin and a lovely seam of acidity that cuts through the mainly dark cherry and boysenberry fruit. Lovely texture here, a little salinity towards the finish, silky smooth and sensual.

Medium red. Musky red and darker berry aromas are complemented by a mineral element. Creamy and dense, offering lovely texture for the year but in a classically dry, laid-back style, with its blackberry fruit accented by violet and pepper. This firmly structured wine needs to be served with food or held for a few years.Stephen Tanzer1st March 2017

40% whole bunch. Blackish ruby with a pale rim. A bit more restrained and subtle on the nose. Then massive density on the palate. Lots of chew and savour. Really fine wine. Though still with her candied-violets aspect. (JR)
