Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras Ghislaine Barthod 2010 hails from a prominent lieu-dit in the Chambolle commune of the Côte de Nuits, noted for its rich terroir. This wine exhibits a complex nose featuring aromas of dark cherry, raspberry and subtle earthy undertones, complemented by floral nuances. On the palate, it reveals a firm structure, with well-defined, mineral-driven flavours that reflect its origins. The tannins are fine yet persistent, suggesting a promising evolution over time. Ghislaine Barthod has been biodynamically farming her vineyards since 2002, emphasising the purity of expression in her wines.

- The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras has a more expressive bouquet than the 2010 Beaux-Bruns at the moment. There are lilting scents of crushed strawberry, Morello, rose petal and traces of the sea at low tide. The palate is very well defined with harmonious, quite filigree tannin, showing more tension than the Beaux-Bruns towards the engaging finish. Superb. Tasted at Goedhuis's Burgundy tasting at Vintners Hall.
