Founded in 1450, Comtes Georges de Vogue own & make wine from some of the most desirable vineyards in Burgundy with significant holdings in the Grand Crus of Musigny & Bonnes-Mares. Their wines are complex, long-lived & reward long-term ageing & they are considered by many to be one of the finest domaines in the Cote d`Or.

Good medium red. Musky aromas of black raspberry, smoke and minerals, plus a whiff of game. Juicy but not especially high-pitched, offering scents of redcurrant, raspberry, tobacco and milk chocolate Substantial ripe tannins showing today. Here's a village wine that will need time in bottle.Stephen Tanzer1st March 2017

The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny Villages has a crisp, marine influenced bouquet all with fine delineation, a mixture of red and black fruit that unfurl in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with good salinity and grip on the entry, quite structured with good backbone, leaning almost to a Morey Saint Denis-like classicism towards the lightly spiced finish. This should drink well over the next 6-8 years. Tasted November 2016.Neal Martin30th June 2017
