Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Bouchard Père et Fils is a historic négociant house and producer formed in 1731. It is one of the oldest and also one of the largest landowners in the Côte d’Or, with approximately 130 hectares under vine. In 1995, the estate was acquired by the Henriot family, owner of the homonymous Champagne house. This particular release comes from Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, the most prestigious Grand Cru vineyard in Gevrey-Chambertin. Aged for 14 months in 40% new oak, the wine is beautifully structured, with a distinctive fleshiness and complex aromas on the nose.

Good dark red. Musky but reticent aromas of raspberry, mocha, game and sweet balsamic cedary underbrush. Plump and plush but with a nicely restrained sweetness and a saline complexity to its flavors of dried fruits, dried flowers and dried herbs. A bit less fresh than the Bonnes-Mares, showing less retention of fruit. Possesses some power but finishes with a bit of alcoholic warmth.Stephen Tanzer1st February 2016

The 2002 Chambertin Clos de Beze from Bouchard has a slightly meaty, almost hickory-tinged bouquet that suggests just a touch of brettanomyces here. The palate is medium-bodied with moderate complexity, a little lighter than its peers with an austere and reserved finish that never quite delivers that knockout punch. Timeless legacy in Burgundy’s heart

Established in 1731, Maison Bouchard Père & Fils is one of the oldest and largest wine estates in the Côte d’Or. In 1995, the estate was acquired by the Henriot family, whose portfolio also includes William Fèvre, Beaux Frères, Château de Poncié and Champagne Henriot. Bouchard boasts vineyard holdings totalling approximately 130 hectares, including 74ha of Premiers Crus and 12ha of Grand Crus, with as many as 450 different individual plots. While the maison’s vast mosaic of holdings are weighted towards the Côte de Beaune, the Côte de Nuits is also a major focus.

The maison’s original vineyard was purchased by Joseph Bouchard in Volnay Les Caillerets in 1775. Not long after Beaune Grèves Vigne de l’Enfant Jesus followed. Now one of four Bouchard monopole vineyards, Beaune Grèves Vignes de l’Enfant Jésus was once owned by the Carmelite order of nuns and is the source of Bouchard’s flagship wine. Bouchard’s extensive suite of wines is produced and aged at the state-of-the-art, gravity-fed Cuverie Saint Vincent in Savigny-lès-Beaune. Once bottled, the wines are stored beneath the historic Château de Beaune, built in the 15th century by King Louis XI and purchased by Bernard Bouchard in 1820.

With almost 300 years of savoir-faire, from its unrivalled multiplicity of terroirs, Bouchard stands as one of the most eminent names in Burgundy winemaking.
