The 1982 Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is a mature Pinot Noir from a difficult vintage. This wine possesses an elegant and relatively lighter-bodied profile for the appellation, with a wonderfully defined bouquet featuring aged black cherry, cold black tea, leather and a subtle briary or smoky earthiness. The palate is well-balanced with fine structure, good acidity and a light-to-medium weight, showing nuances of iron and iodine alongside the red fruit core, culminating in a fresh, delineated finish.
