Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin-Clos de Bèze 2017 is a Grand Cru Pinot Noir from a vintage prized for its charm, perfume and early accessibility. The 2017 growing season was generous and healthy, allowing for a pure expression of the site without the massive tannins of more solar years. Rousseau ages this wine in 100% new French oak, which in 2017 has been absorbed with ease by the vibrant red fruit. It offers a bouquet of wild strawberries, peonies, liquorice and exotic spices. The palate is medium-bodied and exceptionally elegant, with a lacy texture and a bright, saline minerality that carries the finish.
