Camille Giroud Chambertin 2002 is a full-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Grand Cru climat of Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits. Founded in 1865, Camille Giroud is a boutique négociant business based in Beaune. In 2001 the Maison was sold to a group of American investors, and it is currently managed by Carel Voorhuis, who continues to craft seductive and terroir-driven wines. This release comes from Giroud’s south-east facing plot within the Chambertin Grand Cru vineyard. "A ripe, terroir-driven style, delivering lots of macerated cherry, licorice, cedar and spice notes on a full-bodied, succulent frame. Very concentrated, dense and youthful, with an incredibly expansive finish. Needs time to come together." Wine Spectator, 2005
