Jean-Paul et Benoît Droin is a historical domaine in Chablis, dating back to at least the 17th century. The estate comprises 26 hectares spread over the four appellation levels. Petit Chablis, Chablis, nine Premier Cru and five Grand Cru sites. This expression hails from Vaudésir, one of the seven climats of the Chablis Grand Cru appellation, where vines are in average 35 years old. Expect a delicate and elegant wine, revealing toasted nuts and a touch of flint.

Vinous
Delicate aromas of minerals, gunflint and spices. Juicy, pure and fresh, with sharply delineated flavors of citrus skin, powdered stone and mint. Offers terrific life in the mouth and a a real light touch on the aftertaste. Serve the Valmur with chicken in cream sauce while pairing this with scallops and other crustaceans, suggests Droin.Stephen Tanzer1st November 2006
