Chablis Les Clos Raveneau 2018 is a white wine from the esteemed Grand Cru Les Clos in Chablis. This single-vineyard Chardonnay is known for its structural integrity and depth, reflecting the distinctive Kimmeridgian soil of the cru. The 2018 vintage showcases a pronounced minerality alongside a palate marked by citrus fruits, white flowers and a hint of flint. Established in the 1940s, Domaine François Raveneau is renowned for its exceptional Chablis wines produced from low-yields using traditional winemaking practices.

The 2018 Chablis Grand Cru Clos is superb, unwinding in the glass to reveal notions of citrus oil, white flowers and smoke mingled with hints of crisp stone fruit, pear and fresh bread. Full-bodied, layered and muscular, it`s deep and nicely concentrated even in this abundant vintage, with lively acids and a long, saline finish. - William Kelley

The 2018 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has a gorgeous nose of dried apricot, honeysuckle and mint, gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a slightly honeyed entry, a fine bead of acidity and superb harmony. This is not the most complex Les Clos I have tasted from the domaine, but it impresses in terms of length and persistence. Give it another 3–4 years in bottle. Neal Martin1st September 2020
