Domaine Droin Chablis Les Clos 2015 is a white wine from the Grand Cru, Les Clos in the Chablis appellation of France. Jean-Paul et Benoît Droin is a highly respected Chablis Domaine dating back to at least the 17th century. The estate comprises 26 hectares spread over the four appellation levels. Petit Chablis, Chablis, nine Premier Cru and five Grand Cru sites. Neal Martin for The Wine Advocate 2016, “The 2011 Chablis Grand Cru les Clos has a very expressive, flinty bouquet that is beautifully defined. Even having been opened after two days, this is very fresh and as Benoît Droin commented, it needed this period of time to address its reduction. The palate is very clean and vibrant on the entry with citrus lemon, dried peach and plenty of sea salt; it gains depth towards the finish with a dash of spice that sets the mouth tingling with pleasure. This is perhaps the strongest offering from Benoît Droin this vintage.” 93 points. Drink 2016 - 2030

- Droin's 2011 Chablis Les Clos is utterly mesmerizing. The layered, gunpowder-inflected bouquet melds seamlessly into a core of deeply expressive, nuanced fruit. Alive, vibrant and utterly compelling, the Droin's 2011 Les Clos is a great wine from this Grand Cru site. Absolutely nothing is out of of place in this breathtaking Chablis.
