Domaine Vincent Dauvissat is one of the leading wine producers in Chablis, producing some of the region’s most complex and age-worthy Chardonnays. Established in the 1970s by Robert Dauvissat, the Domaine has been passed down from father to son for three generations. This bottle is labelled under the Dauvissat-Camus name which was introduced to allow the estate to distribute their wines through different importers, particularly in the United States and the United Kingdom. Despite the different labels, the wines are produced from the same vineyards and undergo the same winemaking processes. This mature bottle comes from the acclaimed Gand Cru La Clos, offering a harmonious blend of tertiary and primary characteristics. The nose reveals complex aromas of lemon zest, grapefruit pith, and crushed rock, with subtle hints of oyster shell and a touch of petrol. On the palate, it maintains a deep, structured profile with crisp acidity and abundant energy, showcasing its classic Chablis minerality. The finish is long and precise, indicating its potential for further ageing.
