Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

The Rhône-inspired Cayuse Cailloux Vineyard is a single-vineyard Syrah produced in the Walla Walla Valley, Washington State. `Cailloux` means `stones` and refers to the stony soil of this part of the valley, which reminds Burgundy-trained winemaker Christophe Baron of the galet stones of the southern Rhône. A small proportion of Viognier is added to give this silky, umami-rich Syrah a distinctly northern Rhône feel. Cayuse Vineyards was the first winery in the Walla Walla Valley to fully implement biodynamic farming in its vineyards.

The 2020 Camaspelo, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, is dark and moody in the glass, slowly evolving with a mix of flowery underbrush and wet earth, giving way to nuances of plum sauce and of sage. This steps softly, pampering the palate with soft, enveloping textures and saline-tinged acidity. Hints of olive and balsamic spice give way to a salty flourish as the Camaspelo slowly fades, leaving just a hint of dusty tannins. — Eric Guido, 25th January 2024

Bigger, deeper and rounder than previous vintages, the 2020 Camaspelo is firm, dark-fruited and generous with savory tones of wild brush, baked cherries and spiced plum skin with delightful hints of oak and dusty florals. Medium to full-bodied, the wine opens to a tightly tannic edge that firms up and narrows across the mid-palate, with a dusty, mineral essence and notions of smoked red peppers, bitter dark chocolate and sage. Sadly, the Camaspelo ends with a clipped, mineral-driven finish that loses freshness and vibrancy, concluding with an astringent aftertaste. — Anthony Mueller, 11th May 2023

Cayuse was founded in the late 1990s when Frenchman Chirstophe Baron established new plantings in the Pacific Northwest, specifically around Walla Walla in Oregon. A true visionary, Baron turned a rocky patch of farmland into some of America's most prized vineyards. Made with passion with a focus on using biodynamic principles, the wines are full, dense, characterful and food friendly.

The wines are only available directly from the winery via a mailing list that reached capacity many years ago. Quirkiness is part of Cayuse's identity - which is characterised by a combination of striking labels and bizarre wine names - another glass of Bionic Frog Syrah anyone?
