Carsebridge 43 Year Old Chieftains is a single grain Scotch whisky distilled in 1976 and bottled in 2019 by Ian Macleod. This expression was matured in a single hogshead and bottled at 41.2% ABV, representing some of the oldest surviving stock from this lost Lowland distillery. The 43 years in wood have resulted in a highly concentrated spirit where the wood-derived vanillins have fully integrated with the grain foundation. Expect a complex profile of maple syrup, dried banana, oak tannin and creamy fudge.
