Carruades de Lafite 1996, the second wine of Château Lafite Rothschild, showcases the estate`s hallmark traits while reflecting its unique composition. The blend includes a notable percentage of Merlot, sourced from specific plots neighbouring the estate. Named after the Carruades plateau, which was acquired in 1845, this wine offers a character distinct from the Grand Vin. The palate reveals concentrated red fruit, accompanied by moderate acidity and refined tannins. Château Lafite Rothschild, established in the 13th century, is renowned for its exceptional quality and heritage.
