Cantenac Brown 1999 is a Third Growth Grand Cru Classé from the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux. This vintage is primarily a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, sourced from the estate`s 60.5-hectare vineyard situated on deep Günzian gravel. The wine exhibits a dense ruby-purple hue, offering aromas of blackcurrant alongside earthy notes, hints of truffle and nuances of cedar. Its medium-bodied palate is balanced by well-integrated tannins and a refreshing acidity, leading to a structured finish.

Robert Parker
The dense ruby/purple-colored, charming, finesse-styled 1999 Cantenac Brown offers excellent sweetness, medium body, and abundant black currant fruit intermixed with truffle, toasty oak, and subtle dried herb notes. The wine possesses good tannin, lively fruit, and excellent purity as well as balance. It should drink well for 10-12 years. - Robert M. Parker, Jr.
