From the esteemed Château Canon, the 1983 vintage emerges from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé designation in Bordeaux, showcasing a blend primarily of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, this red wine reflects a successful Right Bank vintage, often regarded for its aromatic intricacy. The palate reveals layers of dried plums, truffles, and cedar, underpinned by a refined tannic structure. Aged for over forty years, it now exhibits tertiary notes that emphasise its depth and balance. The vineyard, characterised by its limestone slopes, contributes to a heritage that continues to influence the elegance and poise of Château Canon.
