An elegant nose of smooth lemon, tropical kiwi, and tart gooseberry, evolving into pear, heather honey, and subtle dried fruits. The palate is rich and balanced, featuring sherry and vanilla notes, complemented by custard, honey-drizzled pear, and hints of coconut and banana. A touch of dry tobacco leaf and liquorice adds depth. The finish transitions from sweet to ginger spice and dry tobacco, with lingering sweetness throughout. A stunning whisky with a medium body and pleasing complexity.
Burnside is the name given to `teaspooned` Balvenie. Since Balvenie don`t like to have their whisky bottled by indies, they mix in a tiny amount of another malt and label it Burnside.

One of Speyside's most famous single malts, located in Dufftown and owned by William Grant and Sons. The distillery was founded in the late 1800s by William Grant, who worked at the Mortlach distillery nearby. Master Distiller David Stewart is credited with making Balvenie the powerhouse we know today.
David worked at Balvenie for many decades and introduced many innovations that are now widespread across the industry including 'cask finishes' where whiskies are aged for a period in ex-Bourbon wood before being finished for a relative short period in a more active barrel.
