This wine is crafted from hand-harvested Pinot Noir grapes, reflecting the careful cultivation practices of Burn Cottage Vineyard. Which has the unique status of being the only vineyard in Central Otago that has been biodynamic since day one.

,p> The 2021 offers a complex mingling of dark cherry, bramble, and subtle earthiness, complemented by soft lingering tannins. A testament to the region`s microclimates, and winemaking expertise, it is bottled with minimal intervention to maintain the authenticity and expressiveness of the fruit.

96 Robert Parker
The 2021 Burn Cottage Vineyard Pinot Noir is alive and energetic, svelte and composed. As I write this, I am sitting at the bottom of the Burn Cottage Vineyard in Lowburn, looking up the rows. This is a mineral, nuanced expression, with graphite and white tea, pomegranate pearls, raspberry licorice, rosehips and crushed pink peppercorns. This is what I came here for. It’s thrilling, lacy, delicate and focused. Exciting wine, exciting drinking. It sits on the palate nicely—evenly weighted, and it spools through the long finish... yes! 13.5% alcohol, sealed under natural cork. - Erin Larkin
95 Vinous
The 2021 Pinot Noir Burn Cottage Vineyard caresses the palate with its suave texture and creamy appeal. While it has excellent density on the palate, it has a sense of lightness. It is not a muscular style but focuses on elegance, finesse of texture and purity. Unadulterated flavors of red cherry and Damson combine with carefully integrated oak. The long, poised, and tranquil finish has a sense of a flourish.

Ted Lemon no longer consults here and the wines are made by Claire Mulholland. Pretty dark purplish crimson. Spicy, intriguing nose and pretty sweet palate entry. California influence? Seems definitely sweeter than most in this organic/biodynamic line-up. (JR)
