Bunnahabhain 37 Year Old Old and Rare 1974 is an exceptionally rare Islay single malt distilled in 1974 and matured for nearly four decades. Bottled by Hunter Laing, this spirit has reached a level of extraordinary concentration and aromatic complexity. The nose is profound, featuring layers of dark chocolate, tobacco, dried figs and deep vanilla bean. On the palate, the whisky is dense and multi-layered, with a seamless texture that coats the mouth. Despite its significant age, it maintains a vibrant character where the intense oak tannins are perfectly integrated with the sweet, concentrated fruit spirit.

The Lighter Side of Islay
Often known as the "gateway malt" for those looking to explore the smoky malts of Islay, Bunnahabhain is more lightly peated than most other whiskies produced on the island. Situated on the north-eastern coast, the distillery name means "mouth of the river" in Gaelic.
Historically noted for a waxy, oily mouthfeel, low peat levels and a hint of sea spray, Bunnahabhain have since experimented with more heavily peated drams, in-keeping with the style of their island neighbours. The youngest age statement in the core range is 12 years old while limited edition cask finishes have won the distillery awards globally.
