The Bryant Family Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a 13-acre estate vineyard on Pritchard Hill in Napa Valley. The 2011 vintage was a challenging, cooler year, yet it highlights the terroir’s distinctiveness, yielding a wine that is more silky, vibrant and understated than hotter vintages. It offers a spectrum of red and black currant fruit notes intertwined with blueberry liqueur, anise, cedar and mocha. The wine is medium-bodied and gracefully built, with a creamy texture, terrific balance and an energetic, tense palate that features notes of mint, crushed rocks and wildflowers, all supported by fine-grained tannins. Magnum format.

The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon comes across as nervy, slender and forward. Sage, tobacco, dried cherry and worn-in leather are suggestive of a wine that is fully mature. I would not push my luck on aging. Antonio Galloni31st May 2022

A Pure Bred Napa Cabernet Sauvignon

Don Bryant bought the Pritchard Hill parcel in the mid-1980s, hired David Abreu to develop the vineyard and Helen Turley to make the wines. Don Bryant had the foresight, intuition, and knack for successful ventures. Since Don passed away, his wife Bettina has taken over operations. A 13-acre vineyard is planted on Pritchard Hill in Napa, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, but the team also cultivate a little Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

The estate producer three wines - an estate Cabernet Sauvignon and two Bordeaux blends produced using some fruit from David Abreu's Madrona, Thorevilos and Las Posadas vineyards.
