The Bryant Family Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 exhibits a dense red hue, indicative of its age. Aromas of dark fruit are complemented by subtle herbal notes. The palate reveals a blend of blackcurrant and plum, interwoven with earthy undertones and a mineral quality that adds depth. Firm tannins structure the wine, suggesting significant ageing potential. Bryant Family Vineyard, founded by Stephen and Susan Bryant in 1992, is noted for its limited production from their estate in Napa Valley, ensuring careful craftsmanship.

Bright, full red-ruby. Delightfully floral and cool on the nose following the 2004, offering good mineral lift to the aromas of red berries, licorice and rose petal. Clearly tighter than the '04, in a much more classic style but still youthfully imploded, showing a subtle salinity to its redcurrant and raspberry flavors. There's compelling sweetness here but a less glyceral texture than some of the richest vintages. Boasts outstanding structure for long-term aging, though, finishing very young, savory and long, with firm tannic spine and hints of hoisin sauce and spices.Stephen Tanzer1st May 2017

The 2005 continues to exhibit a European-styled finesse, elegance, and a certain austerity. The wine also shows considerable new oak, lots of acidity, which is almost atypical for this vineyard site, and a deep ruby/purple color with notes of cedar, bay leaf, cigar box, and copious quantities of black currant liqueur. It is a streamlined, classic, but slightly austere style for Bryant. Anticipated maturity. 2010-2025. - Robert M. Parker, Jr.

A Pure Bred Napa Cabernet Sauvignon

Don Bryant bought the Pritchard Hill parcel in the mid-1980s, hired David Abreu to develop the vineyard and Helen Turley to make the wines. Don Bryant had the foresight, intuition, and knack for successful ventures. Since Don passed away, his wife Bettina has taken over operations. A 13-acre vineyard is planted on Pritchard Hill in Napa, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, but the team also cultivate a little Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

The estate producer three wines - an estate Cabernet Sauvignon and two Bordeaux blends produced using some fruit from David Abreu's Madrona, Thorevilos and Las Posadas vineyards.
