Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino 2010 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Sangiovese grapes in the Montalcino appellation of Tuscany. Casanova di Neri is one of the most respected estates in the Montalcino region, renowned for its muscular yet elegant modern style of Brunello. These wines are characterised by rich dark fruits, velvety tannins and refined oak.

- Black cherries, plums, lavender, smoke, spices and wild flowers jump from the glass in the 2010 Brunello di Montalcino. Today, the flavors are bright and primary, while the tannins are tightly wound. I would prefer to drink the 2010 sooner rather than later, though, while the fruit retains its vibrancy. The Brunello di Montalcino, often informally called the 'white label', is aged exclusively in cask.

Today, under the leadership of Giacomo Neri, Casanova di Neri continues to produce Brunellos that are powerful, elegant, and capable of aging for decades.
