Altesino Brunello di Montalcino 2010 is a full-bodied Sangiovese red wine from the Montalcino hills of Tuscany in Central Italy. Altesino is a well-regarded winery with a history that dates back to the 16th century. They are known for their commitment to quality and innovation in winemaking. The estate`s Brunello di Montalcino Montosoli 2010 is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, which are locally known as ‘Brunello’. The wine undergoes an extended aging process, including a minimum of four years, with at least two years in oak barrels and four months in the bottle before release. "Beautiful aromas of dark fruits and minerals. Full-bodied, succulent and chewy. It`s tight and stony. Lots of black olives and wet earth under the fruit. Bright and linear wine with beautiful layers." James Suckling, 2014

- Altesino's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is fresh, lively and very nicely balanced throughout. Sweet red berries, mint, sage and cinnamon lift from the glass. The 2010 is effortless and totally delicious today, although the flavors are quite fruit-driven. Readers who are looking for more complexity will want to age the 2010 for at least a few years, but it is already quite appealing, even at this early stage.
