Duty Charges

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

The Bruichladdich 10 Year Old Octomore Series 15 Bottling, known as the `Ten Aged Years` expression, is a heavily peated Islay single malt defined by its complex maturation profile. Distilled from 100% Scottish mainland Concerto barley malted to 107 ppm, its decade of ageing included a blend of spirit from first-fill bourbon casks (50%), Pineau des Charentes casks (15%), second-fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry butts (25%) and first-fill red wine casks (10%). On the nose and palate, this maturation results in a profile where the signature dry Octomore peat smoke is complemented and softened by rich notes of dried fruit, butterscotch, molasses, creamy vanilla and sweet spices, with a lingering finish of wood spices, coffee and charred oak.

Islay's Rugged West Coast

Built in 1881, Bruichladdich passed from owner to owner over the next 80 years, eventually closing their on-site maltings in the early 1960s. Demand for this distinctly fruity Islay malt was so great during the 1970s that additional stills were added to allow for an increase in capacity. Whyte and Mackay acquired Bruichladdich in 1993, but shut down production in the mid-1990s, with Murray McDavid taking over operations in the year 2000. The 15 years thereafter saw a golden era for the distillery as many superb older whiskies were assessed by the new owners and bottled as superb limited edition single casks. The core range was reimagined and two new labels were added that allowed for more heavily peated expressions - Octomore and Port Charlotte.

Bruichladdich run two wash stills and two spirit stills, producing around 1.5 millions litres a year and a number of local Lochs provide the water required for the mash, cooling and bottling. Notably, Bruichladdich maintain and use an array of vintage equipment, including a large wooden mash tun and an adjustment Lomond still, which is used in the production of the distillery's Botanist gin.
