Brane-Cantenac 1990 is a mature-vintage, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux. Brane-Cantenac is an esteemed Second Growth property from Margaux formerly owned by Lucien Lurton and managed by his son, Henri, since 1992. The Grand Vin of Château Brane-Cantenac is noted for its ripe tannins, excellent fruit concentration and structure, and perfumed delicacy – all characteristics of the finest wines of Margaux. "Seemingly fully mature, this wine has evolved quickly. The colour shows some amber at the edge. A sweet nose of smoked herbs, jammy cherries, and black currants is intermixed with spice box, cedar, and a weediness. The wine is lush, medium-bodied, and very soft." Wine Advocate, 2003
