Domaine Coche-Dury is a highly acclaimed producer in Burgundy, renowned for their exceptional white wines made predominantly from Chardonnay. The Domaine, established in the 1920s by Léon Coche, is currently managed by Raphaël Coche, who took over from his father, Jean-François Coche, in 2010. Their wines are praised for their precision, purity and impressive minerality. Although it is considered an entry-level wine, the Bourgogne Chardonnay still reflects the high standards and meticulous attention to detail for which Coche-Dury is known for. The winemaking process includes careful vineyard management, low yields, and minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the cellar.

The 2020 Bourgogne Blanc has a vibrant bouquet, quite effervescent with orange zest and citrus peel. The palate is well balanced with ample weight, fine acidity, pear and grapefruit notes towards the finish. Drink over the next four to five years. Neal Martin5th January 2023
