Domaine Coche-Dury was founded in 1973 by Jean-François Coche. Now under the stewardship of son, Raphaël, the Coches farm nearly 9 hectares of vineyards across six communes. Though rather more famous for Chardonnay from more highly acclaimed crus, this is an excellent “entry-level” wine that gives the perfect snapshot into the quality and style of Coche-Dury. Sourced from various plots with vines that have significant age, the 2014 vintage of this wine reflects the hallmark precision and vibrancy of Domaine Coche-Dury. A cooler growing season contributed to its bright acidity and focused structure, enhancing the purity of its citrus and orchard fruit profile. While already expressive, this vintage also has the potential to develop further complexity with age, revealing additional layers of minerality and depth.
