Domaine Dujac was acquired by Jacques Seysses in 1967 and has established itself as one of the very finest producers in the region. The 2013 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru offers seamless aromas of dark cherry fruit, toasty oak and truffle. The palate is medium in body and possessive of fine-grained tannins, pinpoint acidity and a long, composed finish.

Deep red. Pungent cherry, licorice and wild herbs on the nose, lifted by exhilarating treble notes of blood orange and peony. Sharply delineated and tightly wound, dominated by its structure today. A more savory style than either the Clos Saint-Denis or Clos de la Roche, with dark berry, mineral and wild herb flavors carrying impressively on the extremely long, saline aftertaste.Stephen Tanzer1st March 2016

The 2013 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has a beautiful bouquet with superb definition and seamlessly integrated oak, touches of truffle in the background and "mucking around" with the ebullient dark cherry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with silky smooth tannins. There is a fine seam of acidity here, the tannins a little rigid at the moment with a linear but with a precise finish. This is a well-crafted Bonnes-Mares fulfilling exactly what a Bonnes-Mares ought to be. Look forward to seeing how it turns out in bottle.Neal Martin30th December 2014

A Focus on Terroir

Founded in the late 1960s by Jacques Seysses, who purchased and renovated Domaine Graillet in Morey-St-Denis. The estate is currently run by Jacques' sons Jeremy and Alec, who farm around 17 hectares of vines across the Côte including holdings in Echezeaux, Clos de la Roche, Charmes-Chambertin and Bonnes Mares.

A natural approach is taken in the vineyard and cellar with the estate moving from organic farming to fully biodynamic in the mid 2000s, receiving their certification in 2011. The team's focus is on elegance - temperatures are controlled to keep alcohol in check and also limit malolactic fermentation while juice from the crush is fed into the cellar by gravity only without the use of pumping. The wines of Domaine Dujac represent pure, balanced expressions of their respective terroirs.
