Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Bollinger RD 2002 is a late-disgorged vintage Champagne celebrated from Maison Bollinger. The blend primarily features Pinot Noir, complemented by Chardonnay, sourced from Bollinger’s estate vineyards, which account for approximately 70% of their grape supply. This high level of vineyard ownership ensures quality control and adheres to traditional viticulture methods. The wine undergoes fermentation in old oak barrels, promoting a nuanced character and complexity. It benefits from extended lees ageing, reflecting Bollinger`s commitment to patience and craftsmanship.

The most remarkable thing about the 2002 Extra Brut R.D. is how tense and structured it is. Despite having been disgorged over two years ago, the 2002 is very much tightly wound. After several hours, the power and resonance of the vintage start to come through, along with the natural richness of Pinot from Aÿ. Whereas most 2002 Champagnes are quite ripe in profile, the 2002 R.D. has plenty of depth, but it is depth through concentration as opposed to elevated ripeness. The low dosage style further adds to that sensation. Hints of chamomile, sage, dried flower and red fruits emerge over time, but only with reluctance. I would prefer to cellar the 2002 for at least a few years. If that is not possible, readers should open the wine at least a few hours in advance. Even so, the 2002's best drinking lies somewhere in the future. My sense is that the 2002 will be at its best between the ages of 20 and 30. Synonymous with sophistication and quality, Champagne Bollinger was awarded the Royal Warrant as Official Purveyor of Champagne to Queen Victoria in 1884. From special cuvées and Rosé Champagnes, to rarely seen vintages, luxurious large formats and Recently Disgorged styles, this is a wonderful House to discover. Bollinger wines even have a close association with James Bond - and rare limited editions have been released in celebration of the films from Moonraker to No Time To Die.

The Bollinger vineyard covers 179 hectares, with 85% of these Grand and Premier Cru. One of the last family-run Champagne houses in the region, Bollinger is located in the village of Aÿ, near Épernay. A number of practices are key to the Bollinger approach: the majority of grapes used in the wines have to come from the Maison's own vineyards; Pinot Noir must play a dominant role in the blend; the role of micro-oxygenation from barrel fermentation; and long periods of bottle aging (two to three times longer than required).
