Introduced in 1984 by Buffalo Trace Distillery, Blanton`s Original was the first modern single-barrel bourbon on the market. Crafted from a high-rye mash bill, Blanton`s Original is aged in Warehouse H, which is known for its unique metal walls that influence the aging process. This particular barrel was bottled in 2003 and bottled specifically for the Spanish market.

Please note that Blanton`s wax has a tendency to be quite fragile.
Sadly we cannot offer refunds on Blanton`s that are received with cracked wax.

World’s first single-barrel bourbon

Blanton's is credited with being the world’s first single-barrel Bourbon and is one of the world’s most sought-after luxury Bourbon brands. Blanton’s original single-barrel bourbon was first introduced in 1984 and is made at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, where the eponymous Colonel Albert B Blanton served as president until 1952.

Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon is typically aged for six to eight years in barrels matured in Blanton's Warehouse H, the only warehouse in at Buffalo Trace that is constructed with thin metal walls. These walls conduct heat faster than brick, which allows the whiskey matured here to absorb more oak-derived flavours from the new oak barrels, and to mature faster.

Blanton's release three expressions: Single Barrel, Gold and Straight From The Barrel. As well as its rich flavour, Blanton’s is renowned for its distinctive bottle with its eight different stopper designs, each with a letter of the word ‘Blanton’s’ moulded into it and topped with a figurine of a racehorse and jockey – Bourbon and horse racing being the twin symbols of Kentucky.
