Château Lynch-Bages Blanc de Lynch-Bages 2016 is a full-bodied, blended white wine from the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. Château Lynch-Bages is one of the finest estates in the Pauillac appellation, known for producing wines that combine structure and elegance. Since 1939, the estate has been successfully run by the Cazes family, who also owns other properties in Bordeaux such as Château Haut-Batailley. The 2016 estate white is a blend of 52% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon and 18% Muscadelle. "This is really excellent with sliced apples, lemon rind, minerals and stones. Medium to full body, vivid and energetic acidity and a long and powerful, almost minerally finish. Wow." James Suckling, 2017

The 2016 Blanc de Lynch-Bages delivers notions of ripe apples, spiced pears and lemon pie with touches of lime zest and crushed rocks. Medium-bodied with super intensity in the mouth, it has a seriously zesty palate and a long refreshing finish.Lisa Perrotti-Brown30th November 2018

The 2016 Blanc de Lynch Bages has a delightful brioche-scented bouquet with subtle lime flower aromas and hints of frangipane. The palate is well balanced with a fine thread of acidity. A touch of toffee apple and lychee emerges toward the nicely composed finish. Very fine. Neal Martin1st January 2019

The Modern Pauillac

Situated in the celebrated Pauillac appellation in Bordeaux, Château Lynch Bages uses around 60% of its 100 hectares to produce its first wine (a 5th growth in the 1855 classification) in addition to producing a second red, Echo de Lynch Bages. These wines display superb Cabernet Sauvignon character, together with smaller percentages of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot making up the blend. A wonderful example of the power and elegance of truly great Pauillac: gloriously supple and smooth with a tannic backbone.

A white wine, known as Blanc de Lynch Bages, is also produced in very small quantities. Made from an elegant blend of the classic white Bordeaux varietals, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle, the resulting wines display exhilarating freshness and dried apricot complexity.
