The Black & White c1930s is a blended Scotch whisky produced by James Buchanan & Co Ltd., which was part of the Distillers Company Limited (DCL). Bottlings from this period were often labeled with an 8 Years Old age statement and were typically bottled at 43.4% ABV. The blend incorporates a mix of malt and grain whiskies, including components such as Dalwhinnie, Clynelish and Glendullan malts. Analyses of vintage releases from this decade indicate an observable peat characteristic, alongside pronounced grain components, spice, and oak elements, in a structural style that was formulated for an approachable, light palate.
