Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Domaine Leflaive 2015 is a Grand Cru white Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune. Established in 1717, Domaine Leflaive is known for its commitment to biodynamic viticulture. This sought-after wine is sourced from a small plot within the Bienvenues climat. The 2015 vintage showcases a concentration of fruit driven by the warm growing season. On the palate, there are notes of white flower, citrus zest and mineral undertones, complemented by a subtle oak influence from its 12 months in new French barrels.

Pale, bright yellow. Sexy, expressive aromas of pineapple, stone fruits, hawthorn, almond flower and spicy oak. Silky and full but surprisingly light on its feet, showing captivating floral lift and definition to its lemon, peach and smoky mineral flavors. This vibrant, fine-grained wine coats the cheeks and leaves the mouth refreshed.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2017

Domaine Leflaive

The pinnacle of Puligny-Montrachet

Founded in the 18th century, Domaine Leflaive has built a storied reputation for its commitment to biodynamic farming and exceptional craftsmanship. The estate owns 22 hectares of vineyards, including 10 hectares of Premiers Crus in Puligny-Montrachet (Les Combettes, Les Pucelles, Le Clavoillon, Les Folatières), as well as no fewer than 5 hectares of Grands Crus (Chevalier-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, and a tiny holding in Le Montrachet).

Joseph Leflaive, whose vision and dedication in the early 20th century were pivotal, transformed the domaine into a symbol of excellence. In the 1990s, Anne-Claude Leflaive introduced biodynamic practices, adhering to rigorous standards that respect the natural rhythms of the earth, promoting soil health and vine vitality without synthetic chemicals. This holistic approach results in Chardonnay wines celebrated for their purity, depth, and complexity. Each bottle reflects the rich heritage and innovative spirit that have made Domaine Leflaive a revered name among wine enthusiasts.
