The 1988 vintage is composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 8% Cabernet Franc, aged for 18 months in oak barrels, 50% new. The wine is layered and smooth, boasting notes of cassis, liquorice, leather and cedarwood.
