Benromach Peat Smoke (2016 Release) is a Speyside single malt crafted using heavily peated barley to deliver a robust, smoky profile. This edition maintains the distillery`s focus on small-batch production and traditional methods. The nose presents a combination of medicinal smoke, cracked black pepper and citrus peel. On the palate the whisky is medium-bodied and intense, showcasing a balance between earthy peat and the sweetness of the malted barley. Flavours of vanilla and charred oak emerge through the mid-palate, leading to a long finish characterised by lingering wood smoke. This release offers a consistent look at the heavier peating levels employed by the distillery.
