A limited edition expression capturing the influence of finishing in Château Cissac casks. This is a superbly balanced whisky with notes of peat smoke and ripe forest fruits on the nose. The palate adds a hint of cracked black pepper, vanilla custard and ripe cherry. The finish is long and satisfying with flourishes of citrus peel and a whiff of bonfire.

Benromach

A Gently Peated Speysider

Founded in 1898 by Ducan McCallum is F.W. Brickman, Benromach is a Speyside distillery located in Morayshire. The distillery operate one wash still and one spirit still and annual production is around half a million litres a year. Following a period of closure, the distillery was acquired by Gordon and MacPhail in the early 1990s and bottling resumed later the same decade, much to the delight of single malt enthusiasts. The spirit is generally peated to a slightly higher level than one would expect from a Speysider, around 8 - 12 ppm.

Limited editions and cask finishes have been central to Benromach's identity in recent years while the core range offers fantastic quality across the board.
