Benromach 55 Year Old 1949 is a highly rare Speyside single malt, distilled shortly after the Second World War and released as part of the distillery`s Heritage series. Matured for over 55 years in a single Sherry cask, this whisky reflects the distillery`s pre-Gordon & MacPhail era, which began with its revival in the 1990s. The deep mahogany hue suggests extensive maturation and offers a texture that envelops the palate with concentrated notes of fruitcake and orange peel, alongside hints of sweet malt, dried fruits, and gentle spices. Limited to just 83 bottles, this expression highlights the distillery`s long-standing commitment to traditional methods and showcases the intricacies of age-worthy whisky.
