Founded in 1898, Benromach is a Speyside distillery currently owned by Gordon and MacPhail of Elgin. This 45-year-old expression reveals a complex nose including black tea, mint, wood oils and a thin layer of leather. On the palate, the single malt is surprisingly soft and creamy, boasting notes of chocolate truffle, candied orange, liquorice, leather, tobacco, honey and a touch of beeswax.
