This 12 Year Old Speysider is thought to have been bottled in the 1990s before the Benromach distillery was sold to present owners, Gordon & MacPhail. Bursting with an array of fruit on the nose and palate, ranging from citrus to stone fruit. A delicate lavender and waxed wood character add to the complexity of this dram.

The distillery operate one wash still and one spirit still and annual production is around half a million litres a year. Following a period of closure, the distillery was acquired by Gordon and MacPhail in the early 1990s and bottling resumed later the same decade, much to the delight of single malt enthusiasts. The spirit is generally peated to a slightly higher level than one would expect from a Speysider, around 8 - 12 ppm.
