Belle-Brise 2010 is a full-bodied, Merlot-based red wine from the Pomerol appellation of Bordeaux. Owned since 1991 by Henri-Bruno de Coincy – whose family has been producing Armagnac for more than seven centuries, Château Belle-Brise is one of the smallest and most sought-after producers in Pomerol, if not Bordeaux as a whole. Operating from just 2ha of walled vineyards in the south-west of the appellation, Belle-Brise produces siklily opulent Merlot-dominant wines exclusively from biodynamically farmed estate fruit. "The 2010 exhibits a nose with ripe blackberry, raspberry leaf and violets and a hint of vanilla from the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, quite bold tannins. It is well balanced in the mouth with a clean line of acidity, a persistent finish and hints of white pepper on the aftertaste." Wine Advocate
