Belgrave 2010 is a full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Haut-Médoc appellation of Bordeaux. Château Belgrave is a Fifth Growth wine estate situated within the Haut-Médoc appellation on the border with St-Julien. Since 1979 the estate has been in the expert hands of the Dourthe family, who made a significant investment in its infrastructure. The Cabernet-dominant wines of this estate offer very good value, particularly when compared with their more illustrious Cru Classé neighbours in St-Julien. On the 2010. "This is very polished with super integrated tannins and layers of subtle ripe fruit with hints of chocolate. Full body, with ultra-fine tannins and a fresh finish. Very well done." James Suckling, 2013

Enjoyable and unfussy, not the most concentrated of the 2010s in this lineup, full of dark brambled fruits, enjoyable and easy to drink, plenty of character.Jane Anson10th October 2024

The 2010 Belgrave has a generous and nicely detailed bouquet with plenty of red berry fruit laced with brown spices. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, slightly more on the austere side with a classic tobacco-tinged finish and impressive persistence. This is worth seeking out. Tasted from an ex-château bottle at the BI Wines & Spirits 10-Year On tasting. Neal Martin1st April 2020

I tasted the 2010 Belgrave several times and found it less impressive than I had hoped it would be, since I wrote it was a sleeper of the vintage from barrel. Nevertheless, the wine is still excellent. Dark ruby purple, slightly austere and closed, but exhibiting some tobacco leaf, black currant, vanillin, spice and earth, it should drink nicely for 15 or more years.Robert Parker28th February 2013
